Failed To Verify Username

I am new to MCSG and every time I try to join a server,
it says "Failed To Verify Username"
Help please
I really do want to play

OK then. The reason why you got this message is because you're using a hacked minecraft launcher. When users go online, they check whenever they have logged in or otherwise they'll get that error message. There are plenty of servers set to *Offline Mode* which let's you play without getting a minecraft account but this server isn't one of those Offline Mode servers.

You shouldn't expect to get a paid game for free, do some chores and buy it.

Pretty much what everyone else said, you need to purchase an actual minecraft account to play.

You can purchase an account here: http://minecraft.net/store by clicking "Purchase a minecraft account" and following all the given steps.
(Before doing that, you have to register, which can be done at the top left of the minecraft home screen.)
