Regarding Trash Talking

I felt this really needed to be discussed due to some recent events that took place in the US Clan Leaderboards battle with Rebels and Elevate.

To fill you in (if you haven't watched it/heard), Elevate won the battle 5-0 and one of our members, LiningHawk, uploaded the full battle on his YouTube channel. The first battle a few of our members said some things that could be taken offensive towards some of the Rebels. This video instantly turned the fight from "GG Elevate for winning" into "an awful trash talking team".

This is the next part I want to clear up that really gets on my nerves because some people are clueless. Before I start, I am not going to be giving out specific names/groups but other groups from different clans have tried to "fix" and make peace with Rebels and Elevate. About 2 months ago, almost all of Elevate was a Rebels member. We left Rebels because we had some problems with a few of the members in the clan and felt it would be best to make a new clan rather than kicking members. Now fast forward to the week of the big battle for the #1 spot on the Leaderboards. The week before this battle we had prepared because we wanted to take this battle serious and win to show we are capable of being the #1 clan in MCSG. [Before you comment on this, I underlined capable for a reason and in no way is this trying to be biased, cocky, etc. that we are the #1 clan; this is only what we wanted to prove (I can already feel the Forgotten comments coming)]. We were so hyped for the battle because it was against the clan we previously played with. The first round we said some things in the heat of the moment because we were REALLY hyped and needed to relieve some of the stress that we had the past week getting prepared. We said some things that offended a couple members. There. It's over. We can't fix the past. We are humans. We made ONE mistake.

So after the battle, everything was fine and everyone talked about how well the battle went. The next day Lining uploaded the video and this is where everything was completely blown out of the water. Members from other clans felt the need to be involved and "help" to look better for themselves. I can guarantee for a fact (people can vouch for me) that every clan, even the clan involved, has trash talked at one point in a battle/scrimmage/regular game. Besides that fact, we have been harassed for more than we deserve only for trash talking in a couple rounds. When you get involved and completely blow this out of proportion to make another clan feel guilty and look like awful people, that is worse than the clan who trash talked. Yes, this could be a biased opinion but if you put this whole situation into perspective, none of the Rebels members came to us bringing up the issue. I asked Max (the leader of Rebels) if any were offended by the video and he said himself and a couple others were; however, they NEVER came back at us and insulted/harassed us about this battle. Obviously, they are going to be a little more passive because they lost the battle, but they could have easily said something about it. I remember being in Rebels and we had problems with the same clan, but now they are trying to be the "good guys"? I really don't understand their motive and what they are truly accomplishing by the actions they have recently made. I'm tired of explaining things to people and writing all of this so I'm just going to say one last thing.

Stop trying to help. You are only making it worse even if you think you are fixing the problem. Thank you all for understanding that we aren't all bad people and that we just make mistakes :/

Just because you were trash talking doesn't mean you are a bad clan, and plus it's your teamspeak and you're not actually being bad sports in chat, no need to explain yourselves, I'm sure there was some trash talking in the Rebels ts as well.
