Diamond Items

it's not possible to get diamonds in tier 1 period.

actually there are :
T1 chests which contain :raw meat, up to stone swords, leather armour, fishing rods and ingots.
T2 chests which contain: cooked meat, stone swords, arrows, bows, flint and steel, higher tier armour (up to iron) and also ingots.
But there are som chests on the maps which are kinda both. They can contain anythung the survival games has to offer so therefore it may look like a T1 chest in 1 game and a T2 in another. It may also look completely odd seeing a load of junk with a diamond in the chest.

No it's quite possible, just very, very, unlikely. And it was a tier 1 chest, on one of the skyscrapers.

And I don't understand why you would put diamonds and armor in a chest, but I'm going to guess I am either really lucky or a bug where cornucopia chests are mixed up with regular chests. I think the reason why it's more common in tier 2 chests is because you get more stuff.

Either way, never underestimate the powers of tier 1 chests.

There are tier 2 chests on alot of the skyscrapers! On Varerde's maps it is not only the corn that has tier 2 chests!

yeap i did, i took cornu 2 nights plus my run with 7 tier 2-chests!

Tier one Chests: Weapons up to stone, Armour up to gold, uncooked food, arrows, bows, flint, feathers and string, compass, clock and map and sticks. Also Iron and gold ingots. No diamonds will be found in these!

Tier two Chests: Armour up to iron, and not including leather, Stone swords (rare), boats, cooked food, golden apples, diamonds and miscellaneous items.

Tier two chests are always but not limited to the corn chests (The exception is Breeze island, as the corn would be too overpowered). Different items in chests have different chances of spawning. E.g. Boots are nearly as rare as diamonds, and used to be rarer.

Any chest that you found with diamonds in it is either a tier two chest, or someone has, for whatever reason, placed them there.
