Deathmatch Discussions

You can probably tell from other posters already that this idea has been suggested numerous times before with no avail. Let me explain...

MCSG started back in April of 2012 with one goal in mind, and this was to create a game that would replicate The Hunger Games as close as possible. As you may know in the end of the Hunger Games there were 3 tributes left, Katniss, Peeta and Cato (A career), this is mainly the reason why there is still a 3 man deathmatch today. MCSG is not about wins, no matter what other people say, MCSG is a game to have fun with others and replicate the original Hunger Games and its trilogy of books.

Now about HiveMC... The Hive was not created solely for Survival Games, it was created as a mini games server with a few larger game types thrown in. The Hive is not intending to replicate The Hunger Games to a tee, rather they are trying to be different and stand out. If we simply gave in and put a 4 player deathmatch, MCGamer would not be as unique as it is.

I thought someone might bring this up, and you are 100% right. MCGamer once had a two person deathmatch and it was extremely annoying. But if you think about it, The Hunger Games was intended to be a game where it would eventually reach a 1v1. MCGamer/MCSG thus implemented it as a 1v1 or two person deathmatch. Yet as MCSG grew and became a larger thing with new cool little ideas, the need to make it more realistic towards the original Hunger Games grew and it was then changed to a three person death match.

But isn't there TWO different Survival Games on MCSG? The Classic Version, and the Popular regular version? I mean honestly.. When I'm playing MCSG I don't think of the Hunger Games movie, I think of a fun mini-game that has a concept from the movie. Although I think a 3 person death match is bad, even if there were 3 people at the ending of the movie. If it's so important to keep all of those aspects from the movie, then I think it should be moved to a separate Mini-game, or possibly to SG Classic (Never played SG Classic, so I wouldn't know). I don't know about a lot of you guys, but I play MCSG not only because it's fun, but also because I enjoy trying to go up in stats and climb up the leaderboards. I feel like the 3 people deathmatch hinders that a bit.

I guess people think that this game is supposed to be easy/fair.
