That i7 is actually quite a bit worse than many i5's and, though Nvidia is great, that specific Nvidia card is not. Spending that much money on that computer isn't a good idea in my opinion. Personally, I would build the computer myself (which isn't nearly as hard as you might think). Just look up a few Internet tutorials, and you'll be golden, with a much more powerful computer for the same price.

I'll even design the computer for you, picking out each of the parts, and making sure you have the best computer available in your price range. I'll get back to you in a little bit with your build.

An i5 is not 'better' than an i7, an i7 is just sometimes unnecessary.

No, he's wrong, i7 is better than an i5 with video rendering, photoshop stuff and hyperthreading, i5's are the same as i7's in gaming. I think that's what he means.

Edit: I take that back, didn't see which i7 he was exactly talking about.

That is the case with the majority of i7's, I was talking about the i7 he had chosen specifically, lol. That SPECIFIC i7 was outperformed in pretty much every way by the majority of i5's.

Now you're right, for the most part, i7s are better than i5's, but not in that specific case. Please read what I post before saying I'm wrong.
