I like the idea of the chests refilling only in the corn, but how about other main areas? The boat cove is a popular place, and so are the dual decripit towers. I think that these chests should refill minimally, and random chests around the world filled with regular supplis, making the tributes move around. Either way, the games will become much more interesting!

I'm a fan of tiered restocking, if it's possible. If Chests could be awarded restock values, certain diffcult chests further out could have greater rewards, easy chests further out containing less desireable items, the center containing the best stuff.

If the team of 3 went to the cornucopia the first night they could easily best the the team of 2 before they were fully geared. The cornucopia is balanced now because everyone is going to want it and it's going to be chaotic. You are going to see games where 3-4 teams are fighting over the cornucopia at once. This also solves the problems with people forming large alliances as there is less gear to go around. So it's smarter to stick by yourself or with just a single other person. This in turn means less ganking and more evenly matched fights.
not true becasue im still seeing teams of 4 - 6 people on some of the servers

I think I may be with the majority when I say more than just the center chests should refill. Everyone's already said it, those who team up take the corn first, and if those were the only chests to refill, then no one else would stand a chance. The campers would be set for life and all they have to do is pick off anyone brave yet foolish enough to try and get to the refilled chests. Plus, I think this would encourage spawn camping, since that will be the only constant source or materials, and, lets face it, no one likes spawn campers. Just read the spec. chat during fights that you have a team of three or four camping there. Everyone's yelling for them to leave or kill eachother. It really is no fun.

So, long story short, I think all the chests should refill, or at least a portion of them. Maybe give non-spawn chests only a 50% likelihood to refill, or, as some others have suggested, have them refill every other night. Only spawn chests refilling is a bad idea.

Heres an Idea since you want the game to be played by the movie. Refill the chest and the corn starting on the second night. Then on the third night and every other night after that refill the outside chest but not all of them just enough to give everyone a fair chance like the more people in the game the more chest will get refilled.

Another idea is if you can make so u have to be so far away from a chest for the chest to refill its items it will prevent the camping of the corn and it could possibly stop people who idle in the trees and caves that have chest in them.

15 alliance players v 26 solo players.
Exactly. People that team up will like it, but those of us that attempt to go it alone and fight with our backs against a tree are royally screwed. This is encouraging spawn camping and teams, neither of which are liked by the majority of players.

Everything but food should be refilled exclusively at the centre. In the movie, you could find food in the woods etc. So it should be made available elsewhere in the game as well.

I still believe everyone is thinking about this the wrong way. Cornucopia chests refilling every night are not causing people to camp there. This was happening before that. Diamonds are the reason people/teams camp center, not because there the only chests that get refilled. I wish people vote more with this in mind.

You can still find plenty of food in the woods, pigs, cows, & chickens. You can also cook that at the house to the south for food that ups your hunger bar more.

My vote is still Yes chests in the center should be the only that refill. But with advocation for the following changes:

  • Get rid of Diamonds
  • Add enchanted items & potions to puzzles
  • Add more puzzles
  • More crafting tables at land mark locations
  • More ingots/wood/leather dropped rather than full armor/swords
You don't even have to get rid of diamonds. How often have you found diamonds outside of spawn? I don't know about you, but the only chests I've ever found diamond in were the ones in the middle. If you make diamonds spawn outside of the cornucopia, and add more workbenches (just a few scattered around the map), then that instantly makes the game more even for everyone. Teams aren't the only ones with diamond swords/armor and the solo players are better equipped. If solo players had better swords/armor, they wouldn't hide as much as they do. Many solo players stay near the outskirts of the map to avoid fighting teams that are well armed. If they had just as good of armor/weapons, then they wouldn't be as scared, they'd venture to the middle to find a fight, and that would cause fights to be over sooner while still staying balanced.

My favorite suggestion so far
The mob spawner thing may work but it might not becasue there is a tree you can climb 5 blocks out of the corn and they could just camp up there and to add insult to injury it has a chest in it and it usually has really good items in it. Or at least it used to.

I agree whole-heartedly with FoolsPower's idea of having chests at the Cornucopia refill with food and lesser gear while the others outside will refill with only weapons - this way players can't just camp the center and win the entire game. Likewise, it means that players can't skirt around the outside of the arena and go unchecked. There's a balance between it that forces players to actually leave wherever they are. Add to that the fact that the only crafting table is in the very center, and you the game becomes wonderfully balanced.

To put simply, it's balanced like this. Players who normally camped the center are forced to actually leave the Cornucopia in order to obtain better weapons and armor (in addition to the supplies to MAKE better weapons and armor) - this was the main problem because once a good player or two held the center - and because diamonds only spawned in the center chests - nobody had a chance at winning unless they were in some sort of massive team. Players who were able to avoid everyone else by skirting around the outside of the arena are now forced to head back to the center if they want the better food (I mean, they can still kill animals, but that isn't a great source of food). While players can certainly keep to those same tactics, it will be more difficult for them to actually win that way.
