Community Poll: Leaderboards Reset with Newest Update?

On the topic of Legacy Leaderboards, why make it a frozen page? Why not just have an all-time leaderboard along with more frequently updating ones? I don't see how anyone loses in that scenario. Assuming of course that that can be done, which I don't see why it couldn't be.

Considering I worked so hard for the wins I have, the countless hours I put in... I would be quite devastated if this were to happen. I mean, really. The top players would also agree with me. I just don't think it's fair. I do believe it should be an option. As well as, people buying stats resets would find it a waste of money if this were to happen. I don't know, but if I weren't a Moderator and this happened, I would more than likely stop playing. I believe if this happened, a lot of top players would quit as there would be no more motivation to keep them going. And I can stand behind that statement.

That's actually a valid concern. While rule-breakers can't make that big of a dent in the leaderboards right now, with fresh ones they could be right at the top. That goes for hackers and boosters.

I vote yes. Not for an entire leaderboard reset though, maybe a new daily/weekly/monthly leaderboard- as soggypickle said.

my point exactly, hackers would farm wins and be on top of the leaderboards with 100 wins in like 3 days, the whole community wouldn't like that

Honestly no, reason being is that if you want a stat reset just but one or wait for the discount because if this happens Gravey4rd will be quite upset.

Umm not only gravey4rd, look deeper into that, lets say... the whole MCG Community?

I'm iffy. I honestly think it would be cool to see them reset but then again Im not sure how I would like it. I really don't play MCSG competitively anymore and I feel like this would force me into wanting to try to really put effort into a high spot and then ending up disappointed because of the fact that I have a life and simply can't play enough to beat out these people.

I personally don't mind as I have a long way to go to improve my PvP skills enough to even be up there, but I understand the points of view from both sides. This will be interesting indeed.

I personally wouldn't care if the stats got reset or not, but I voted No for the poll. I don't see why we should outdate the current stats, put them in a new, static, leaderboard, just for basically a free (possibly unwanted) stat reset along with a few new numbers to look at.

As new statistic would be cool to see, I don't see the practical need for them, for most people really only care for the amount of wins and amount of games they have. Also, with this basically resetting everyone stats, people that have tons of wins, good ratios, or just like to see their past games, wouldn't want this to happen. The people I see wanting this are the people that either want their stats reset for free or want to see a new face for the #1 spot.

If we were going to change the leaderboards in some way, I'd say allow the people that want a stat reset a discount for one, like 50% off or something. That way it satisfies both the people that want a better ratio and those that want to keep their current stats. Also, implementing daily/weekly/monthly leaderboards would also help in this. For that way people can still tryhard for wins to be the top of said leaderboard, while also building towards their old record of wins. (Since they are now trying to win one of the new boards, that could possibly help improve their overall ratio as well.)

That's my two sense on the matter, might add more if I feel the need to.
