Should it be banable? ( Please let us know in the comments why it should be, or not )

Have you seen most peoples "My Truth and story" threads, Yeah I beg to differ. It may only be you that doesn't get depressed over a video game, but thats not the case with some people. "THIS IS considered cyber bullying, its also disrespect, so how shouldn't this be bannable. So Instead of acting smart, and saying stupid stuff, just roll along with it. This thread should not have flame.
No I have not seen anyone say this. I see people making an huge ass deal about it though.
I'll quote what you said "It may only be you that doesn't get depressed over a video game" If I'm the only one who doesn't get depressed over a video game than this community has problems and should probably quit if they're depressed over a video game.
"THIS IS considered cyber bullying" No it is not. It would be if the same person followed him around and attacked him (With words). This is the definition of bullying: Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among school aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time. Bullying includes actions such as making threats, spreading rumors, attacking someone physically or verbally, and excluding someone from a group on purpose.
"its also disrespect" it isn't really disrespect, if you lost in a battle and someone says rekt, he won you lost so you did get rekt. GG10 if someone won a battle with 1o hearts he is saying how many hearts he has. l2p is obviously Love too powerful.
It's rude but isn't disrespectful. He isn't directly saying that you suck and Good like that.
"so how shouldn't this be bannable" Simple it isn't bullying nor disrespect.
"So Instead of acting smart" I'm not I'm just standing with my opinion and this is what I think is right for the community.
"and saying stupid stuff." It really isn't all that stupid. It is my opinion.
"Just roll along with it" No, it's a pointless movement and people like are wasting there time on it.
"This thread should not have flame" It really isn't flame it is a debate on the subject.

It's the clans that made people competitive for sure ;-;
EDIT: Wait, if a block was implemented, people would get kicked and banned for dumb things like joking to friends. I think it should be treated as abuse, and you just go through with what you would do with an abuse report.
Actually its the youtubers, definately the youtubers.

Yeh it's a conflict, I thought the same thing until a Police offer came to our school and explained the differences of bullying and a conflict.
I do not say eZ or rekt ect. I still don't understand how dieing in a video game with the added rekt can get someone really upset.
lol your police officer might of given you false information. I remember having a thing like this in our school, and he never told us anything of the sort when he spoke to us. Maybe its considered "bullying" differently state to state? I don't know. But I don't agree that it has to happen twice for it to be bullying. Teachers say it themselves, that if someone does something to you, to come to them straight away, not "wait til they do it again so they can get away with it the first time possibly".

Lol think of professional sports, smack talking excessively is a penalty in sports. You can do some, but when people take it too far, then its against the rules. I see no difference here. If you just keep it simple and say 1 thing.. no harm. But when people keep going.. saying "gg10, rekt get good at mcsg, you're bad". There is a point where you have to draw a line.

Sports are considered games, with ADULTS and they don't allow over excessive taunting.

The majority of the community can cop these terms on the chin and learn to move on, but there's always someone who won't take it all too well. I think it's a fair point to make that we need to accommodate for that one person who represents the minority of players who don't take competitive banter, or trash talk as it's now commonly known, all that well. It's the same reasoning behind preventing people from swearing; whilst a majority of the community is 12+, there are players under this age bracket that could be adversely affected from swearing.
Some will say that swearing is unpleasant and socially unacceptable- whilst this is true, I think it's also a fair point to make that derogatory remarks like eZ, gg10 and rekt are one in the same with swearing.

By implementing some sort of punishment for saying these terms, we not only handle the fact of sensitive users taking offense to trash talk, but we also help to make the community less 'toxic'. We get a bad rap for having a pretty toxic community, especially around the clan-side of the servers. This would better our reputation among the Minecraft community and *possibly* rekindle interest within players once deterred by the toxicity of the community.

At the end of the day though, such terms are biproducts of the competitive nature of MCSG. You can't have a factory without it producing waste.

I think what most of the community want is for some sort of punishment to be given to those who choose such un-tasteful ways of expressing themselves, or even *at the very least* a filter that turns derogatory remarks into more polite gaming banter, like good game.
Foopy But seriously though, people need to grow up. If you're getting mad over a 12 year old talking trash to you over a video game, quit the internet. MCSG is actually a wayyyyyyy nicer community than a lot of moba games, Servers like Zincbox and KitPvP, and the biggest assholic group of them all-COD on xbox live

The COD community is just a bunch of seriously stupid pubescent teenagers who want to sound cool, while in reality they go around using things like cancer as subjects of their jokes. To be honest, that's amazing that people get away with jokes about cancer. We can only be grateful that MCSG I'd not that bad.
On another note, I agree completely with what you're saying. It is, after all, just a game. But the thing that everyone disregards is that there is a person behind each and every username. Each a different personality with their own story to tell. If you go around telling random people you've never had a real conversation with on real life that they are bad at whatever they do, you'll get bashed.
That being said, filters won't work as I said earlier. My solution is to make (not GG, as that can easily be just a good game) trash talking the same as abuse reports. Why not just treat trash talking as what it really is, just simple abuse.
Ooh gee that felt good to get that out

Honestly, if you get mad over a BLOCK game, and you aren't an e-sports gamer, just quit the internet. It's not for you. You're right, but you forget, THIS ISN'T REAL LIFE. PEOPLE GO HERE TO GET AWAY FROM REAL LIFE.

This is a communtity discussion, not a thread to cause flame. Note that the title doesn't say debate, or flame allowed.

Reven, as much as I agree with you, you aren't going to change the minds of children who believe that a 1 hour assembly with a police officer and dictionary definitions supersedes the common sense and respect that you learn (specifically for people) as you grow older.

The kids you're arguing with are likely the same ones who are contributing to the problem, and they'll be the first ones to jump ship when the competitiveness of this community starts affecting them in a negative way.

To reiterate my opinion from earlier: Banning isn't the way to go, and any of these words on their own shouldn't be punishable. It's the people who are making a clear attempt to insult someone and piss them off (the comments that literally take time and thought to type out) that need to be watched a little more carefully. And even then if they're punished, the only thing I could justify it with is a mute because it has nothing to do with how they're PLAYING the game, but how they're socializing with people in chat.
