I'm glad you had the courage to say this publicly.
I know it can be hard to admit to things, especially if it changes someone's views on you, but in your case, it's definitely perfectly okay to simply express who you are as a person.
Don't listen to anyone who bashes on you based on their sexuality - they're likely blinded by the "rules" of their religions or are simply homophobic. People like that will make it nowhere in society, where people come in all different shapes and sizes. (Literally and metaphorically)
Long story short, good for you. Don't be shy about it, and be positive c:

Wow, it's a shame I don't actually know you, but I just wanted to jump in to congratulate you on this major milestone. I can imagine how hard it is to come to terms with something like this, but just know that no one in their right mind would treat you differently because of it. Stay gay! (I mean happy come on people)

People should learn to accept people for who they are...I myself struggle with this but why not start here? Its great you came out I understand what a struggle it is...I still haven't admitted I have problems...if you can even call them problems I didn't ask for this...Anyway I don't really know you but it makes me smile when people come out and show who they really are .

I can't even begin to imagine how hard this decision was for you LilBub. This takes a lot of guts for some people, due to how I society generally acts. You broke the barrier, and you did it and I am so proud of you, I hope one day you find someone that will treat you for who you are and you can have a wife (pls tony abbott) and kids.
