The size that actually works is a 2120x1192 px document.
YouTube actually only shows 2120x350 px of that document, so it can be kind of confusing xD
You can find a download to a 'template' that has the correct size, and shows what goes where here. This is for PhotoShop, which I don't recall you saying you used, but if you do, here 'ya go

in the downloadable template, the middle sesction is whats viewable on mobile and pc, but the rest of the area can only be seen on tvs if you have a youtube app iirc
