Upload and download speed can also affect your connection quality. For the purpose of us troubleshooting, can you please run an internet speed test at this website, and tell us your results?

I did some research: Obviously, you're not the only one dealing with this problem when it comes to connecting to a Minecraft server.
From reading multiple threads on Minecraft Forums and on Reddit, it appears that this problem isn't caused by your router or internet, nor your computer.
