Burning the leftovers

Hey Guys !

Usually after i kill people and i have my inventory full i tend to get as fast as i can a flint and steel and burn everything which is not needed,most of the time i die when i am in my inventory trying to sort what i need to burn and what i don't need because someone sneaks up on me

I saw a lot of people that are not bothered because they have their inventory full but i think its better to have your inventory empty because you can kill someone,get his items and run away so you don't get killed by sorting items which you need

Give me a tip about this,what should i do ?

Do you think that putting items in a chest is more useful than burning them ?

How do you usually do in this cases ?

Depends if you feel safe about it put the items in chests. If not you can burn them, but be careful not to get snuck up on. Hope this helps and good luck!

Usually I'll just throw my stuff quickly on the ground using "q". The stuff I get rid of is usually bad stuff like leather armor and so there's no point in burning or storing it in a chest.

Be extremely sure nobody is around when you burn your junk.

I get SO nervous when doing this as it is also something that often kills me. I usually just seclude myself in some room with the fire blocking the entrance way. If I'm outside, I get the high ground or sit on a dead-end.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, if I don't have a FnS, I just break off the top leaf block off a tree and store my junk there. No one ever finds it xD

This is some great advice. I hear you can also hit alt+f4 for insta- inventory clear.

Probably don't burn your stuff when you are low? I don't know, never had a problem with this.

As Gumby said, don't do it while you are still low. Also while doing it, stop every 5 sec and do a quick 360 to make sure that no one is sneaking up on you.

Press F5 once and aim downward and to one side so you are able to see if someone is close to you. Every few seconds, turn in a different direction while still in F5.

Make sure you're in a secluded area, and have a good escape route to go, no matter which direction you're attacked from.
You can press Cntrl+Q to toss things like several fish, cookies, feathers, food, or whatever instantly. (Things that stack, such as iron, diamonds, flint, sticks, food, etc. It gets rid of the entire stack instantly rather than pressing it multiple times or dragging it out.)
Don't do it when you're at low HP. If you're sneak attacked and get hit by a few crits, you're a goner.
If possible, have someone keep watch while you do it. Idk if you usually team, but if you do have the other person watch over you, even if they're just a spectator.
And, of course, have your inventory organized so that you know where to look when dropping stuff.
