And that's why it isn't allowed. You said it yourself right there. If it is even better than default, it gives you an advantage over users who don't have it. And a PVP performance advantage, which is where the problem lies.
Honestly right now you are making little sense as well as making a fool of yourself. As has been said BSM makes a huge difference on gameplay due to the toggle sprint BSM offers. Even if i hold down my sprint key in 1.7 it still breaks if you hit an entity or a block for a small period of time whereas in BSM this will never be broken making a huge difference to PvP. You have pretty much admitted that the only reason you want BSM is because it is easier and you cannot use 1.7 sprint, now to me this shows that BSM offers an advantage and you know it and this is all regardless of the multitude of other things we have listed against you.Rusty Dave , BSM Does not Effect Game Play it Is In 1.7 It is Just Hard Moving Over , It Does Not Make You Sprint Faster, It Just Does What 1.7 does Better and if its because no one else has it well, It Takes 30 Sec To Get And To Win You Need Skill Not Better Sprint , So Please Just Remove The Limitation
Is that true ? Lol no. Seriously you actually made me laugh so hard with that. Of course it affects PvP. If your sprint is never broken you can constantly chain crits against someone without them ever standing a chance as you can volley them repeatedly. In a chase someone with BSM will have more chance at getting away as if they make a small error and clip a block they won't slow down so will either get away easier or catch up easier. Face it you have lost this argument and you never will as BSM DOES give an advantage and it IS hacking. It Does not Affect Gameplay and Pvp Skills Are Up to You Not The Mod, BETTER SPRINT MOD Does Not Affect Gameplay, Or PVP,
Please let me add this post of Mooclan about BSM.Bold=No Vanilla Equivalent
1. Toggle Sprint - You can set a key to toggle your sprint, so that every single time you move forwards you sprint.
2. Toggle Sneaking - You can toggle your sneaking so that you don't have to hold down the button. This can be used to hide for long periods of AFK time or when you're in your inventory, typing in chat, etc. so that you can't be found.
3. Sprint Key - Similar to what Minecraft has now, you can hold it down to sprint when you move forwards. This is essentially a vanilla feature as of recent updates.
Did I miss any? Not that I know of.
Sure, you can always put a rock or something on your sneak key, but it won't work when you're in your inventory or typing, etc. so it's not fair.
Toggle Sprint, however... That's the most outstanding feature of BSM. Minecraft does not do that in its vanilla versions. MCSG makes an effort to keep gameplay as vanilla as possible. They do not allow any modifications that change gameplay.
For example, one of the modifications that is allowed on MCSG - OptiFine.
OptiFine, one of the most popular Mods on MCSG, improves graphics, allows for zooming in, and can increase computer performance. The zooming in feature can be negated by having a large screen with high resolution and looking closely at your monitor, and the improved computer performance can be near useless if you already have a good computer.
OptiFine does NOT change gameplay, and will not give you an unfair advantage in a fight. (CPU performance is your own issue.)
BSM, however, DOES. You can sprint more consistently, run over mountains faster because of the constant sprinting, and in overall combat it is unfair. Even with Minecraft's Sprint Key, the toggle feature for sprinting that BSM offers is different. With the Sprint Key, you have to sacrifice a finger's usefulness and availability in order to hold down the sprint key, which is not an issue with BSM. You can't move your hand as freely in vanilla Minecaft if you want to keep using it. (Depending on where you place your sprint key, but it still takes up a finger.)
