Asians Grades

I've gotten a 96% percent on a major exam and been asked why I didn't do better ;-;

It's strange becuase my parents honestly do not care about my grades. They've never told me to do my homework, study, or practice my sports/musical instruments. I've never had a B in my life. Although I get 0's on a lot on my homework assignments I always make it up with my test scores (Which I never study for) and end up getting over 98% in the class overall (Btw I'm in a middle school that doesn't give extra credit so 100% is as high as you can go). Honestly I feel lucky to have an Asian brain. I've never really gone tryhard-mode in life, and I've been laid back about my grades.

My parents don't check my grades or constantly pester me to do my homework. As long as I have all A's on my report card, they really don't care at all.

C = Average. Better than an F.
D = Pick it up or we're taking your computer away for a month
F = Dead.

Am i the only one who can fail a class and not get in trouble?

My mother's perspective:
A= "you cheated." (jk i got some A's but still)
B= Yay! Good job!
C= Good still.
D= Step it up a bit.
F= We'll handle it, but try harder.
My mother really does care, but I'm not as capable when i'l in regular school. Now i'm homeschooled and my other excepts me to get all A's and B's, and I do.

My dad's perspective:
"What grade are you in?"
"Make me food."
"How old are you?"
"Did you do your school work today?" Me: "No." Him: "K. Make me food."
