A better way to start hunger games?

I'm not sure if anyone has implemented this method to start a hunger games match before, but if not, someone should.

Basically I used a vertical piston elevator as a means to raise the player to the playable area. It's fast, it looks cool, and it gives more of a shock factor to starting the game.

You could set up redstone so the game would start automatically as soon as everyone is standing on respective pressure plates, with a 10 second countdown by note blocks after the final person gets on their plate.

it'd be less redstone than having a redstone digital clock, which I've seen on several hunger games maps.
