Thanks for making another meaningful thread Arena. I have some things to say on the matter...

This one is also very easy for me to answer. A lot of people simply do not play for the stats. It may seem incomprehensible to many players, but some people seriously do not care. I would say this stands even more for Joey's fans, being mainly female. The thing is, guys are competitive. Girls generally don't care. Of course, there are some that do. But the majority just run around having fun, even if they get slaughtered every match. Probably 80% of the females that I play with have more fun exploring the maps and doing things like having boat wars and jumping off things. Males have to get all the loot and kill everything on the map, it's the whole mentality. Hey, I have played 1000 games since MCSG beta, won about 10 on my own, and I still enjoy playing.
I like what you said here Leo. I agree with this wholeheartedly. Some people just don't gcare at all about statistics, or even know what their statistics are. Some people are so easily entertained that they can play hundreds of games of MCSG, get close to no kills, and still have fun. This is me. (Used to be me)
When I first started playing, I played MCSG like one is supposed to play survival. I would play to live long and relax. (Instead of just murdering people and stealing every possible tier two before anyone else can get to it, like most people do now) Back in the old days when there were just SG 1, SG 2, and SG 3, this is what I would always do, and I was always scared to get into a fight. I believe I played about 150-200 games without killing a single person, I had gotten in a few fights, but lost all of them.
Then one day while on Breeze I started fighting someone on top of some trees, and they ran down into the trees below. About ten seconds later it said "You have gained 5 points for killing ____." I was mystified... Later I realized they had probably died from fall damage. One day I met a teammate while playing on Breeze. He skipped corn, got one chest with a stone axe, then immediately began murdering people coming out of corn. That began a new era of MCSG for me, where I played to win. I played to kill people and I played aggressively. I worried about my statistics. I began watching better MCSGers on youtube, which made me come to a realization that I had always been at a severe disadvantage to other players because of my poor internet and computer. Nonetheless, my bounty went from 0.... to 50... to 150... capping off at around 300 before I quit for several months. I had 5 wins out of maybe 400 games when I quit. Of course I was better, but was it really worth it? I was having less fun.
As difficult as it is to understand, noobs who hardly know what they are doing are having fun. They get adrenaline pumping when the game is about to start, where as I sit there bored, waiting impatiently for the game to start. Back when I had played less than 100 games were the days when I had the most fun. And it wasn't necessarily because MCSG was better back then, but because I was carefree and made it better for myself. Nowadays I finally have more kills than deaths, which makes me a little sad, but that's how it is and there's no going back.
As for why people play MCSG for their favorite youtubers, I can't comprehend yet. I heard about MCSG from a friend.

There are of course people who would buy the Minecraft account just to stalk games for Joey, but that would be an extreme minority.

Just to elaborate on this a bit:

The only reason it seems like every one of them does this is because only the ones that do it stand out. The rest of them? You probably never noticed them. There are just so many people that joined because of Joey that the small percentage still equates to a fair amount of people.

I just find fanboys and fangirls annoying, for Joey's fan they're like is Joey on? Is Joey on? OMG Joey's on ...
And for Bacca fans they are just agressive in a game i saw a Benja skin and i was like OMG it's Benja! then someone asked me who he was so i said it's the legendary hacker BajanCanadian and one of his fan told me in chat to shut up or he'll kill me at spawn every game :/

Some people might be decent at the game, but have 5 FPS computers no matter what they do to enhance their FPS and can't PvP. Maybe they know almost all of the best chest routes and good strategies, but just can't fight from lag.

Reading this thread, I can easily answer your two questions without an effort.

Question 1: They come to MC cause they don't have the time, possibly money to meet him in real life, and since he plays Minecraft, that's their solution since it's only 20 bucks for an account.

Question 2: Oh I dunno, maybe they enjoy the game and play for fun, but that's just preposterous.

Dude, it took me like 200 tries to get my first win. Now I have around 1,700 games played, and 350 wins. Of course they're not the best stats in the world, but I'd say that comes damn far from a ratio of 0 to 200 at one point. If anything, I enjoyed the game better when I did lose constantly, cause it gave me a reason to play for that first win.

I dunno about you, but that didn't take a whole lot of effort to answer.

I mean, it took me 700 games to win once, I never got bored. Now I'm here with a ~1/4 W/L. I never go bored of MCSG, I just let it make me better, now I'm here :3

But how come? I know it's a funky question, but wouldn't it have been aggravating to keep dying again and again? I would have never had the patience and persistence to keep trying.
Ahh you don't get it. You try to feel accomplished. You keep playing and TRY to get better, and better.
