Thanks for checking out the Land of the Lost! This is a 120 player Minecraft PvP map.
It contains 317 chests not including the cornucopia. I, and fartmanstan, spent over a month
working on this (if I do say so for myself) masterpiece. :D This map is 100% compatible with
1.7 and includes specific traps and areas only accessible in 1.7! Below is a render of the corn. To look at screenshots of the map without shaders take a look at the thread HERE!

A Message from ChadTheDJ:
"A 120 player map should have a minimum block diameter of 2000 blocks, and maximum of 4000. Spawn podiums need to start on the edge of the map or very far apart in the center to reduce client lag."

After experimentation with this, I found that the temporary (7-15 second) loss in FPS with close-together spawns is 100x better than the alternative, spread out spawns. A current glitch in minecraft causes most players (all players outside of ones own render distance) to be invisible! The only way to counteract this is to force all players together. I've spaced the players the MAXIMUM distance apart without invisibility. This is also why dual-cornucopia maps do not work as of yet. I apologize to those of you who do receive lag, but know that I've taken many steps throughout the building process to minimize lag.​

Important Factor:
In order for the platforms to disappear
fireworks must spawn under, or items must spawn
on top of the pressure plate. This causes a block update and deletes
the platform.

I love the look of this :D ermagewd sooo pretty :3 If I were to be playing it I'm sure I would die taking screenies the whole time >.<

I must say, this map looks really, really, really nice, and we need more 120 player maps, however don't know how good it would be for pvp as it is really hilly.. but yeah I think it should be added

I think the hills are extremely important. If the world was mostly flat everyone would just disperse in different directions. In this map, the chest routes are laid out to make 16 good routes. After a while people will learn these routes and it will increase pvp at the beginning. (120 people getting divided into 16 routes) Again, if the world was flat, the game would probably last twice as long.

(120 people getting divided into 16 routes) Again, if the world was flat, the game would probably last twice as long.
You made the map so you will most likely be right about that, good job, nice map, well thought out :D

Now, you may say that you can use WorldDownloader, but first of all it's a bannable offense on MCSG, and two, this map is sooooo big.

Sorry, but thanks for all the support. I hope Chad checks this out soon. :)

Chad doesn't decide what maps are accepted any more, its @Map Committee who decides now. Best of luck with the map, it looks great! :)

Map is back under construction. I have to go in and remove all the EXP checkpoints/rewards, many of the cave systems, and some /effect tools.

Map Finished. All command blocks have been removed. I'll admit, this removed a lot of the magical medieval theme. But it's still ok. :)
