Why shouldn't it update? keep up with the times.... i mean, like i saw someone say, can't be behind forever?
Besides, new chances lead to new opportunities, it might even bring up new game modes bigger than this?

I personally don't think that the 1.9 features will be added anywhere near straight away, besides by the time Mojang have a stable full 1.9 version things might be different and a lot better!
