Despite people denying that they're doing it for mod, I'd like to see them not apply for a year, and see how long it takes for them to break down and start acting like myself. I used to mini-mod, but after being denied for age, I decided to hold off for half a year before applying again, by the time I applied for age application (and passed), I had started to fall apart. They say they can do it, but without any motivation, you realize just how stupid you are for acting that way.
Beardy is a great example of a good mini-mod. He phrases things right, puts you in your place, but you don't feel like hes an arrogant child. You feel like what he says actually has an impact on you.

how are people gonna get mod, w/o mini modding
Plenty of people achieve the moderator position without acting like a mini-mod, in fact those who take the more respectful approach almost always make better moderators.

I wouldn't consider Beardy a minimod at all. Sure he has stated his subtle interest in being a moderator, however he always acts like the forumer he was/is. He is helpful and can give the right answers, however he has a mind of his own and is a respectable person ^_^

So I am an annoying minimod? ;-;
Absolutely <3 No, you're somebody that people respect because you've had previous experience. However now, you can tell people what to do and still have their respect, while being able to make jokes that go against the mod "role model" standard in their posts.

Your view of what a mini-mod is has changed because there are too many kids mini-modding incorrectly. Doing it right is what beardy does.
