Lets be honest, this was a tough weekend for MCG. Survival had to be taken down since many players were getting bullied. This caused a ton of uproar, as can be expected from a server that popular going away. Then there was the mod resignings, many of the most well known mods, including the longest standing Micr2 all chose this weekend to retire. With all of this going on for some unknown reason, the Maps Committee chose this of all times to announce that several maps are getting removed. Popular maps like Fortune and Wyverns were apart of this, and many players are very upset. This has only added to the turmoil of a tough weekend for MCG. So I think the staff next time should consider the timing before they make a controversial announcement, like that several maps are getting removed. I also do not think it is a good decision on the behalf of the mods, to all chose this weekend to resign. Never before have so many resigned at one time.

It's was a personal choice. Don't blame the mods

I don't think there is a problem with resigning. I just think that if there is a lot of resigning on one day, one it is good to let those mods get the attention they deserve from the time they have put in to the community. And two, it doesn't look good to have the entire community thread be full of resignations.

That's not really their fault. They can resign when they want, it doesn't have to be an organized event like "You resign today, I'll resign tomorrow, and then we'll have John over here resign on Thursday." That's just not how it works. I guess they could've delayed announcing the map removal, but it honestly wouldn't have been that big of a deal if they just didn't say they were gonna remove maps that didn't need to be removed.

I'd rather get the resignations done with at once as opposed to oh, who's going to resign today? Also, they gave the map heads ip earlier. Anyone with a brain could see something happening to Wyverns Wake and you had to assume Fortune Island was at risk (I hardly ever played it).

It's sad that almost a lot of the staff left especially the better known more active ones that have stuck around for a long time, also the map comittee really has a lot of stuff to do and it really seems like they've been lazy, somethings as simple as fixing the gravel trap on SG4 to fixing Breeze Island 2 or Winds of Change but at least they fixed Ancient Japan because that was honestly a major screw up. Also NCP need to be fixed with the over sensitive fall damage and the random rubberbanding not to mention other small bugs. The staff is really shorthanded at the moment and I feel as though none of them care that much about the community and what it thinks and all the problems we have playing everyday and so do a lot of people. Sorry to anybody on the map committee and the staff but this is just what people are saying and I truly think a lot should be fixed and nobodys really said much to the staff. I know it is hard but if it's easier I can make a list of all the bugs and problems in the maps I/we discover to help out :p if this causes people to get irritated again sorry in advance it's just what a lot of people are saying or atleast the people that have played here for a year or more.

PS: Can you please fix Wyverns Wake I know it'll take a lot of time but still I think it's worth it because of how many people love it :/

My advice for a staff member: Don't go AFK in the hub for hours, cause people keep asking you for help, and you never really respond.

I dont see how retiring from a staff positition makes one weekend 'bad'. To be honest you are focusing on the cons way too much, the removal of 7 maps that were underplayed or were too 'op' is good it shows MCGamer is moving forward.
MCGamer is reducing the amount of cyber bullying with the removal of the Survival server and it clearly states that if you would like to keep on playing, there is a map download up. Moderators resigning, everything comes to an end, I do agree some were really good mods but it opens more opportunities for a new wave of mods from every region. I dont know, this is just my thoughts.

It's. another thing is, while those mods were well known, part of the reason a lot resigned is because they don't do much with their position anymore. It's not like we're losing the only people on the servers.

I agree that the survival server should be removed if there was cyber bulling. But, I still makes it a hard weekend for MCSG, when they have to remove a big server like that. A lot of players were unhappy. In terms of the map removal, the only problem with it in my opinion was that the removal of Wyverns wake started a lot of uproar when all of this was going on.
