So, I have a pretty good computer, but it's not the best. I'm able to get around 50 fps on average on the MCG servers, but on bigger games, like BF4, I only get around 35 fps with low settings. I'm trying to build a high level desktop computer that can run BF4 with high settings and manage to get around 50+ fps. The only problem with this is, I know next to nothing about computers, how to build them, or what each of the parts do.

This is my current build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2Neha I mostly just chose parts that had high ratings in their specific areas. I need help knowing if this build is a good one. I also want to know whether any parts can be replaced with cheaper parts that have the same quality. I want to try to get the cost to below $1500

I appreciate any help given.

E. This is my final draft for my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Lively/saved/3I0z

IMO, I would suggest get only one graphics card. Maybe the gtx 770 instead of two 670s?

Also windows 8; yuck

Oh whoops, I changed that part, but I guess I forgot to save the parts list after that. Thanks for the advice. I'm using Windows 8 because I'm comfortable with it. I've used it daily for the past eight months and I don't want to have to relearn how to do things.

This computer only cost $900 or so and it runs BF4 ultra settings on 60 - 90 FPS

I don't see how you aren't getting the performance you're looking for with your current setup. You have 2 way SLI with a respectable graphics card. Along with water cooling your CPU.
There are only 2 things I can speculate from this.
You either don't have a beefy enough power supply to drive your cards, or you don't have enough/fast enough ram.
BT4 and many newer games, unlike some other games, are a lot more CPU intensive along with the expected load on the GPU.

What kind of power supply and ram do you have?

Wait I just misread that post, let me retype this!
