I'm sure there will have been threads about this before, however there are none that are too recent for players to see, so I'm going to tell you my tips that I use to take out teams!
In the water: Here's how to deal with a team in the water. What I advise is that you have a fishing pole handy, as well as a bow with arrows (however this is not crucial), you need to fishing rod one of the team further away whilst going under water and attacking the other player (try work out who is the worst player and target them). Make sure to stay attacking this one player and if needs be use arrows to finish him off, then if you kill him you can take out the other guy with a little more ease.
Warning: If you do not have a fishing pole, I advise you do not go in the water if they're chasing you, they will fishing pole their team mate towards you and you'll be dead within seconds. Also in the water you're a sitting duck for their stack of arrows.
On land: Here's how to deal with a team on land. It is going to be a massive help if you have a Flint and Steel and some arrows to help you. Know your map. If you have a Flint and Steel try leading your team opponents into a choke point (a long thin stretch), quickly turn and place your Flint and Steel, run a little more then fire some arrows at them, assuming this worked accordingly run into them and try go for the kill with your sword. However if this did not work try repeating this step until you get it right. Wait you don't have a Flint and Steel or arrows? Just try attack them and aim for only one player again (preferably with the least armour giving you a greater chance to kill), you will not stand as much of a chance as if you had Flint and Steel or arrows but that's your best chance. If you feel you are completely under-geared to beat the team, simply run around until you find another player and hopefully they will go for them, so you can either run off and get better gear, or you can go and clean up after the fight and kill any survivors whilst they are low.
