Although my sentence does not have all the prerequisites to be classified as a major complete sentence, it is merely a minor sentence. The use of hello is simply a stereotyped expression. Before I put hello, I clearly quoted another user. As such, one must make the connection I was, in terms of conversation, greeting said user.
