Hello, My name is Mrskittleswolf and I am here to teach you more about MCSG and maybe how to win :)

First of all I have won 73 times(from today :D) and am a member of #Deluxe(look at the roster http://www.minecraftsurvivalgames.com/threads/deluxe-us-ca-clan.80217/page-4#post-936390)
I have played for about a year and a half now, my other account mostly and have got decent at the game.

Now lets get started.
First lets go to pvp basics I mean sword, and a bow.
Sword
With the Sword You want to click relatively fast straight at your opponent. To get more fancy you have to strafe and get some critical hits. Strafing is circling your opponent while hitting them hopefully more than they hit you. To get critical hits you jump and while falling down you hit them. put it in your first slot so its easy to reach with Hawtkeys.
Bow
With the bow you want to judge where your opponent is going to go and get them in a bow lockdown. once you hit them with arrows alot you go in for the kill with your sword. You also want to pull back the bow all the way to get the maximum damage.
Flint and Steel
Once of a more cool and awesome weapon is a FnS it is really useful to get combos with the flint and steel and hopefully take down your opponent.

Use it in your 2nd slot and use either mouse scroll(I use This only for Flint and Steel) or HawtKeys :D.
To use it charge at someone you want to fight with you sword at hand, once fighting distance, quickly switch to yout flint and steel and light one block, and switch back to your sword and hoping your opponent is on fire, you can now destroy him with critical hits.
Fishing Rod
With the fishing rod you can land some combos and critical hits. You want the fishing rod in 3 for Hawtkeys and for mouse scroll maybe 9. I use hawtkeys for the fishing rod because you may over scroll when using 9. To use it run at your opponent and cast you fishing rod at him. Unable to hit you take out your sword as fast as possible and hit him, landing a critical hit. You can also break someones sprint by hitting them into a wall with your fishing rod. To not lose any durability on your rod, Cast out your rod and don't real in, switch to another slot while it is casted out, then return to the fishing rod.

In Game
Finally you have come to the in game part of this thread!

Pregame and Starting 30 seconds
In Pregame you wait for about 30 seconds before the game actually starts. When the game starts run to the spawn and grab a chest. These chests are in other hidden in other places and hold a lot of
valuables, like iron armor and gold and chain, as much as diamonds and stone swords. These chests are called
Tier 2s. After you get one chest you will want to go on your route. don't stay to long at spawn or you might get Spawn Killed.
Settling of the game
This is the time where people die and there is about 15-17 people left. You want to go on your route that has Tier 1s and Tiers 2s. Tier 1s are chests that have wood axes - stone swords, leather armor, iron ingots, fishing rods, bows and arrows. You should already should have got some Tier 2s and Tier 1s. You should have weapons, Tier 2 armor and be ready for a fight.
Medium Game Time
This is where there is 8-10 people left. You should have killed at least one-two people by now. you should have full Tier 2 armor and a Iron Sword or a Diamond Sword. I almost forgot, if you have two Iron Ingots or two Diamonds and a Stick I would recommend you find a crafting table besides spawn, If there is none you can YOLO it and go to spawn to craft just watch your back!
Here are some Crafting Recipes for MCSG

Search Stage
This is where there is 4-6 people left. where you go searching for people to kill to go to deathmatch. Search round the map for people. If you see people more decked than you don't go for them. If they come at you, mow them down with some arrows and light them with your FnS and get some critical hits. if you get low as 4 hearts start running, every once in a while doing a 180 bow shot every once in a while. A 180 bow shot is when you turn around when running away from someone and fire a shot at them and turn back and keep running or get a critical hit on them. Once you kill him its time for Deathmatch.

Pre Deathmatch.

the 60 seconds before deathmatch throw out all your stuff a place away from spawn. There is no need for flint and steel because you can't go away from spawn in Deathmatch. Once done you can search around for 30 seconds to find someone to get an opponent low or dead.

Deathmatch
Here you go, a shot at victory, maybe you've been in deathmatch before but haven't won, well here how to win. right before it starts point a fully drawback bow at the one with less armor. Release it when it starts and run away. You can win the cheap way by being a whimpy clean up crew or go for the one with better armor and once you kill him go for the other guy. once both killed its over and hope you are still standing

Firework Stage
Congrats you have won! dance around, shoot arrows in the air. Jump into fire or whatever you want for 10 seconds! That win will be forever on you stats do /stats to view. Well Congrats you earned it.

Doesn't have to be that layout. You can use any layout you want but try and use "Hawtkeys".

Great guide! :D

Just remember that there are already lots of good guides out there, new ones weren't THAT necessary.

Nevertheless, great job!
