Canadian Accent

I talked to my buddy Hazzy16 for the first time ever and he said I had a Canadian accent (he sounded like he had a British accent ) but I don't know what he's talking about and I don't think I really have much of an accent :s I'm wondering what does your voice have to classify to have a Canadian accent? :s

Also, the Canadian stereotype is that they say "oot" and "aboot" and "hoose" When I talk to my friends from back in Vancouver, they don't say "oot" "aboot" or "hoose" but the way they say it is different from my friends in San Francisco.
