Optifine Mod

I have been playing MCSG for over a year now and A LOT of people have this sexy mod called "Optifine", my friend told me that it makes me lag less and I should get it. Can I have some good reasons why I should download it? (I'm very lazy when it comes to waiting for a download to load )

It improves your FPS very often, and gives several new or upgraded options when it comes to graphics and whatnot. Also, if you already have amazing FPS (like, 200+ on far) you can install Shaders mod with it for amazing graphic effects.

Also, it's super easy to install now (There's an automatic installer, you just download it and click "Install" or something after opening it. Super simple.

Well, I used to be fine with my 30 FPS back when I played on 1.5.2 and previous. Then I discovered Optifine, and averaged about 60 to 70 FPS some setting tweaking. Just over 60 FPS is what the human eye perceives the best, so it makes the game all the better :3

Plus, I get great frames on 1.7.2 now that the standard version is out.

Yup, Incrases FPS and makes everything smoother, you can see much further, you can be more specific what animations you want to be uses and about the fast or multi-core chunk loading. And also capes <3

A couple things to mention:
1. Zooming: You can bind a key that lets you zoom in and makes it easier to spot people form a distance. Don't worry, it's not OP as it will only load people in the normal vanilla render distance
2. Added settings: It adds much more detailed settings. For instance, enable and disable specific particle effects instead of all. Much more detailed and user friendly. Setting these just right gives you a great added FPS boots.
