I still use double tap tbh but when I'm facing a good player who I know is using the 1.7 sprint, I have it set to R

I set mine to left shift, sneak to control and then I changed F5 to R.
I changed the last one because it is much easier to reach and check if anyone is behind. It was also because I sometimes play mcsg on my laptop, and you have to press the Fn key before pressing F5, and my hands aren't that big xD

I use CTRL as my sprint key but I mostly use double tap due to me forgetting there is a sprint key. Weird right?

Probably you just need to get used to it, but trust me using a sprint key is so much easier once and if you get the hang of using it!

I use left shift for one reason, if you have it on R, which I used to have it on, you can't strafe with the D key and it somewhat affects your pvp.
