I'm gonna have to give Huahwi credit for a lot of popular flint and steel tactics today. Even though he didn't make anything really new, ever since he got 1000 subs I have been seeing massive improvements in how everyone uses flint and steel, even noobs who know nothing about him. It can't be a coincidence. Rather, now is an era in which people are realizing more possibilities for flint and steel. There was a day when people only used fns in the most basic ways: 1. To light up a doorway or other chokepoint and catch someone and fire and thus protect yourself. 2. To catch someone on fire who is chasing you with a quick 180.
It's people like Huahwi, Noahsailer, and egrodo who cause new tactics to come about. To be honest, one and a half years ago, when I knew nothing aobut MCSG, I legitimately thought people were joking when they said they were "good with the fishing rod" because the only time I saw it get used was to distance others in the water. Heck, and every time I saw people casting fishing rods at each other in the water, the spectators would be saying "Those noobs! Don't they know it doesn't do damage!"
