Base 33 (Antarctica Survival games) 5% complete

My name is meblubs23 and i am proud to present my new map that i'm working on. The map is Called Base 33 and yeh :3.

Storyline
~~~~~~~~~
Base 33 is Antarctica's Chemical Plant. In 1988, Antarctic explorers called a part of Antarctica Base 33. Originally it was made underground and only a few people knew about the base. One night december 5th 1992, an explorer called Ethan Korksal was wondering around but suddenly the snow collapsed into a part of the base. He didnt know what to do. For all he knew he could have died if he didnt have a way to communicate with the Antarctica Helicopter force. He broke his leg after falling down to a part of base 33, yet no one knew it was base 33 and if it was good or bad. The police decided to go over and check it out but nothing was inside the room. Outside of the base was a couple of igloo's yet nothing very strange. In 1995 The Police found stone walls on a side of a mountain. They chose to have a look of what it could be. But what they didnt know is that the room had Dangerous chemicals set on which killed them all. To this very day Base 33 was abandoned on 1999 from chemicals spreading into the air. No one has been there since and in 2014 it was made into a hunger games arena for the entertainment of the god ( also known as ChadtheDJ ).

There's just way too much snow, and honestly not enough variation. Also, it's a bit early to post the thread at only 5%

Yes but if there was something other than just snow would you still like the map? For example you replace like 20 percent of the snow with ice or something?

Hmm.. don't just randomly do //replace snow snow,snow,snow,snow,ice or something (that'd be 80% snow, 20% ice)
Find places that would be good for ice, and put it there - such as a frozen-over lake, maybe a frozen waterfall or two. ALSO! TREES! Idk if there's a lot in Antartica, but a few here and there are a +.

Yeah but you could replace some of the snow with another block like stone or something so its moar colorful at least. Color is an important thing in building and can be the difference between a good map/build or a bad one

Well, as long as you make sure it fits the map well and isn't completely random, like a sponge block surrounded by a ton of snow or something (unless it's a trap etc, but still weird.)
