Stuck at 15 - 25 FPS

If you are getting 15-20 FPS how much of you RAM is minecraft using? ( you can see that in the right top corner when having F3 open while playing minecraft. )

You don't need that much ram for minecraft, only just .5 to 1 gb. What really matters is your processor and a beast graphics card. If you don't really have average specs I recommend using optifine because it boosts a lot of fps and I can 100% guarantee it.
