Yup, Kanji and Chinese characters are exactly the same, I have many friends that know chinese who see Japanese and can understand some of it.

I don't know Chinese at all, So that means my Chinese is worse than yours.
I know:

• Tamil
  • 1st Language
• Telugu
  • 1st Language
• English
  • 2nd Language
• Spanish
  • barely, 4 years of classes, can't speak at all
• Japanese
  • Speak just as well as my Indian Languages
  • 中一から高一まで、毎日日本語分かるまでばかみたいにアニメみました。
    • From 7th grade till 11th grade, I watched anime like an idiot every day until I understood it.

Chinese (mandarin) don't have the 100% same character, same as Korean

Wait are you saying Japanese has the same characters as Korean? Cuz I'm pretty sure that's not true, I've been doing Tae Kwon Do for years now and in no way have I seen a similarity in Korean and Japanese characters, I have noticed similar words though.

Ok yes they are different from each other, but not completely.
Japanese Kanji is Chinese characters.
In japan there are 2 pronunciations for Kanji, Kun and On, kun is the Japanese Pronunciation of these characters, and On is the Chinese one. Both are used in japan.
So the spoken language might be quite different, but the writing has it's similarities.

I don't know much about Korean, but:
Korean and Japanese do have a few similar words, whereas I'm pretty sure the writing systems are different.
