In resource packs, Does it matter what size you get?

So, i was pondering this question for a while.
i have been looking around and I have seen packs that have 16 x 16 and some that have 512 x 512, what does the size change in a texture pack?

it's the pixelation. Lower means less pixels. For example higher pixels gives you the really outlined R3DCraft swords ThatUnoTomohawko has.

The higher the resolution is, the Hd-er it will look. Like Hd tv's. He higher the resolution it goes, the more quality picture you get.

It's really a matter if you want it to be HD or not. Higher resolution Texture Packs do put more of a strain on your computer however (it's not too noticeable in most cases).

IMO 16x or 64x are all you need. Anything else just looks.. weird..
