I know I have. Iv'e even lost friends because of that. And whats sad is they play minecraft too, but since they are popular they don't get ridiculed,

I don't really talk about playing Minecraft to people that aren't interested. Since I do a wide variety of things I can pick from a wide vareity of talking points, so I never really have to mention it to people that don't care.
