Account Name Change in 1.8?

I heard from one of my friends that you can change your Minecraft account username in 1.8. Is it true? What are your thoughts on that?

Every account has unchangeable data linked to it, so bans shouldn't be an issue. The name will be most likely superficial, like your skin.

I don't see why minecraft would since they make thousands off people buying multiple accounts for different names. ( Theo being a great example ) And I don't believe their looking to loose money. If that does happen then their would probably be an uproar of people making inappropriate names, as well what if someone took your old name when you changed it to something else.

Im sure they are going to make it so you are able to change your name once for free. Then other times for a small fee

They have been making changes to the game for nearly two years and don't charge people to update. I don't think that they're really interested in money
