Getting a desktop pc to replace my macbook compoopter! :D

I've been using Windows since 95 and I can tell you, Windows 8 isn't as bad as reviewers say. The boot up is 2x faster than Windows 7, looks nice and clean and does the job.
Windows 7 is still a great OS for Windows, nice and stable and does the job. But if you fancy exploring, check out Windows 8.

And yeah, build your own computer, its the best thing to do. To get really nice FPS, you don't need to get an i7 with 16GB's RAM etc etc. Those are like the nice extra things that you don't really need. For example, I have an i5 3rd gen and it does a wonderful job with my 8GB RAM. I'm currently play Planetside 2, which likes to eat up CPU and GPU, and I can play it on max settings and still get the recommended 60FPS (without overclocking). I could get more if I had a different GPU (I have the 660, could have got the 700's instead) or if I bought the 4th gen i5

3570k? Why haven't you overlooked?

The processor isn't extraordinary, with your budget you could easily afford the 4670k or 3570k as well as a cooler so that you could overclock them.
You really won't need a 2 TB HDD unless you're planning on recording often or pirating a ton of crap.
The GPU is decent, and 8 GB of RAM should do you fine

It depends if you're confident about overclocking, you'd have to research it to understand. As is stands, the company does not overclock it for you, so if you don't feel safe in overclocking, order the 4670 (the K represent the processor being overclocking). It is also advised that you buy a CPU cooler to accompany an overclocked 4670k to keep temperatures safe.

Is newegg good for custom pc's? The one i'm on doesn't have a huge range.. :I

Also, should i be going for sites that build the pc that i select, or buying each individual part from different sites (if price is better on one site)?

Ok. When i get all the parts, is it hard to figure out where to put them? Because i suck at that stuff. Took a whole day to set up my fish tank's filter...

Photosynthesis Could you go onto http://www.jw.com.au/order_form.php and make a good custom gaming PC? Try to keep it cheap but good. Razer Naga mouse, 2 TB, 8GB ram if possible.
