Although pinging the TS is possible, a much more efficient way to do so is to glance down at the bottom right of your teamspeak window.
There, you will see an actively updated ping.

Oh, I'm perfectly aware. I frequently check that during lag spikes on my end, thus why I've never tried pinging it. I just felt I'd mention it.
