Brazil 2014 World Cup Groups Announced! (& Predictions)

Anything can happen.

My match predictions:

Germany 2:1 Portugal -- Germany's whole team is good. It would protect against Ronaldo better whist Ozil can score easily against Portugal's weaker defense.
Ghana 1:1 US -- Very tied up. Both teams do very well in their regions, and Ghana was the African team to beat in 2010. America may have a good team, but so does Ghana.
Germany 3:1 Ghana -- Germany is a clear favorite in winning the WC, Ghana won't stand a chance.
US 1:2 Portugal -- Ronaldo.
US 0:2 Germany -- Because Germany's team is built the best, they can actually defend goals from Dempsey and Altidore, whist Ozil will score on the American side.
Portugal 2:0 Ghana -- Ghana's team does specifically bad against powerhouse forward teams, which describes the Portuguese team perfectly.

I'm so glad you made this thread. I always wanted to learn about the football sport with the tournaments and whatnot. I recently subscribed to KSI on youtube for the silliness and learning what players are valued, and now I will learn exactly what teams/countries are notably good and who are notable not. I remember watching the Fifa cup back when it was in South Africa and I was on vacation, I wondered who was the best team, and I remember US getting the crap knocked out of em' by Ghana (was that in the South Africa cup?)

I am so excited for the world cup, although I will say I am personally more excited for the women's world cup I love soccer, and it's really cool to look through everyone's picks here ;D
