Brazil 2014 World Cup Groups Announced! (& Predictions)

Hey, I'm Alpha, and I love Football! (The non-American, World Cup-kind)

The World Cup 2014 (In Brazil) announced the groups (for the group stage), this morning, and this is a predictions thread to see who will make it on to the round of 16, and further.

I want to know who will you think will go through, why, who the group of death is, and who will win!

My Predictions

Group A
Brazil (1st)
Croatia
Mexico (2nd)
Cameroon

Pretty easy group (If your Brazil or Mexico), there's virtually no chance from Cameroon or Croatia. This is a pretty easy pick.

Group B
Spain (1st)
Netherlands (2nd)
Chile
Australia

This is another obvious group for me. Spain and Netherlands are going to dominate. However, Chile or Australia may challenge Netherlands' spot for 2nd. Chile has been stepping up, however they have a long way to go to beat some of the best European teams.

Group C
Colombia
Greece (1st)
Ivory Coast (2nd)
Japan

Greece is a pretty good team historically, however second place is still very much up for grabs. Japan has a very technical team and Colombia has good, mid-tier South American team. Cote D'Ivore will have a bit of difficulty keeping 2nd place.

England (1st)
Italy (2nd)

England is a great, amazing team that will wreck everyone with the exception of Italy (only a possibility), Italy will have a bit of challenge against Uruguay, however I think they will beat them out.

Group E -- The Group of Life
Switzerland (1st)
Ecuador
France (2nd)
Honduras

Very easy group, because the weakest seeded team, Switzerland, with a modernly bad French team. I think Switzerland's team will beat out France, however (Switzerland beat out Spain a couple of years ago, I think they can at least 1-0 France)

Iran
Nigeria (2nd)

Iran and Bosnia has no chance. Iran could beat Nigeria, but its not going to happened. Argentina is better than everyone else.

Group G -- The Group of Death
Germany (1st)
Portugal (2nd)
United States
Ghana

The Group of Death! Germany is probably going to secure 1st place with some possible hassle, mostly from Portugal's machine, Ronaldo. Portugal is, I believe, a very good team, especially because of Ronaldo. The United States is historically bad against Ghana, which is why I think they will have a hard time. Ghana, the United States and Portugal can all win 2nd, however none of them have Ronaldo. The US can only win if they beat Ghana and tie against Portugal, and lose against Germany. (However, Portugal will mark a lot of goals on the US, which will hurt them at the least)

Russia did very well in the qualifiers, and they have a pretty good squad this year. Belgium's only real competition is South Korea, which they can handle very easy, unless they fall asleep.

I picked England just because I live there I think Uruguay is a good team and should not be counted out 2 world cups 4th in the last one.

France pff its a big name but they don't have the team Honnduras a bold guess but they can be the underdogs.

Iran have a football team xD but Argentiana are the only ones going any were in this.

Germany will win no sweat I don't think Ronaldo I mean Portugal can beat Ghana since they are very good in team work .

The final will be this, or Brazil v. Germany/Portugal.

It'll be amazing if Spain can win 2010 South Africa, 2012 Euro & 2014 Brazil.

The US needs to beat Portugal and Ghana to advance.

Even if the US can pull of beating Ghana, they also need to beat Portugal, which means beating Ronaldo.
