Hi everyone, Mlpoknzaba here and I need your help with something.

The Problem

(cue dramatic music) My family and I are in desperate need for a new computer. Well, not that desperate, but we would like on before Christmas, plus saying "we kinda want one" ruins the whole 'dramatic' scene. Anyway, I digress.
Our current computer is full of useless old files and programs. It is over five years old. It runs Minecraft on 20 fps on the lowest settings with optifine. Now, I know that some people have worse; but they don't have money for a new one, and this isn't some kind of sob story thread, so if you have a worse computer than me, please tell someone else.
My family and I have spoken about getting a new one, but have never gotten round to building one or buying one.

TL;DR: My current computer sucks and I need a new one.

The Task

I need your suggestions. Seeing as I have very little experience in building/buying computers, I need someone who knows what they are doing.
So, can you find/build me a computer with the following criteria?
  • It must cost under £850. Please don't go higher than £900, I'm not interested, we don't can't afford/won't pay that much. 850 is pushing it.
  • It must be able to run Minecraft on max/almost max settings with an fps which is good for pvp (over 100 preferred, as much as possible really)
  • If you are building it, it doesn't need a hard drive. We have a 2 TB portable hard drive already, which I think is enough.
  • Some kind of Microsoft Office would be great, 2007 is perfect for us.

TL;DR: Go and read it, I won't say it again!

Thanks for your time, hopefully I will get some good advice!

CPU: Intel core i5 4670K, quad core, 3.4ghz.
This is the latest gen, intel processor and is at a default speed of 3.4ghz which is great for gaming, and much more than you need for casual use :) I got the 'K' version because it is overclockable, usually to over 4ghz. You'd need to look up overclocking and read a few guides though, they'll tell you how to safely manipulate the voltage and use BIOS.

CPU cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 plus
Since it's a family thing going on here, I assume you want the pc to be pretty quiet. While I haven't had first-hand experience with this CPU cooler, I can assure you that it has received better reviews than the coolers I have seen in action, it's supposed to be completely silent.

Mobo/motherboard: Gigabyte GA Z87X-DH3 ATX
This is a great motherboard overall, and it wonderful if you are indeed looking to overclock, the pro version of this is quite deer.

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz 2x4gb (8GB)
You only really need 8GB of ram if you're going to be playing minecraft and using Microsoft Office. You wouldn't see much of a difference, or need more, unless you're using photoshop or something that hogs memory.

No harddrive as requested.

GPU: Evga GeForce gtx 660 2gb
My friend has this exact graphics card and a slightly worse CPU. He plays on normal render distance, 1.6, no optifine, with shaders at 70 fps. It is also good for any other games and would pair well with a 1080p monitor.

Case: Corsair 400R ATX MID tower case.
Not too big, decent airflow, many positive reviews.

PSU: Corsair Enthusiast 650w, 80+ bronze certified, semi modular, ATX.
650w will suffice, it is also manufactured by a reliable company so it won't fry your components. You don't need anything more than 80+ bronze certified in honesty.

Generic, cheap optical drive, just for dvd's and installation of antivirus as well as other programmes.

OS: Windows 7 Premium 64 bit
I believe this gives you access to 16gb of RAM in total, though you only have 8 so that's all you can use, Windows 8 is fine but Windows 7 is much simpler and easier.

You can also grab Microsoft office student from Amazon for 50 quid.

With this build, expect to play on absolutely max settings (not shaders, that's very demanding) with about 200 fps, perhaps more.

PCS DEFENSOR 7203B BLACK CASE
Designed for office work and video editing, the airflow won't be great.
Processor (CPU)

AMD FX-6300 Six Core CPU (3.50GHz/8MB CACHE/AM3+)
Six cores. 3.5/6=0.58. So as a rough rule, it's 0.58ghz per core. Most games don't use more than 4 cores. This processor is usually used for cheaper pc's, the i5 is much better per core, and as you can afford it, you should go with it.
Motherboard

ASUS® M5A97 LE R2.0 (DDR3, USB3.0, 6Gb/s)

Memory (RAM)

8GB KINGSTON DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz (1 x 8GB)
I haven't read all to much up on this, but all forums state that 2x4gb is superior to 1x8gb, also, if one stick of ram is to break down, there would still be another 4 gb stick there which you could live on while waiting for a new stick - the 1x8gb stick does not offer this.
Graphics Card

2GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 650 Ti - DVI, mHDMI, VGA - 3D Vision Ready
Almost on par with the gtx 660, not bad at all but you can do better
Memory - 1st Hard Disk

500GB 3.5" SATA-III 6GB/s HDD 7200RPM 16MB CACHE
You don't need any additional storage, according to your OP.
1st DVD/BLU-RAY Drive

24x DUAL LAYER DVD WRITER ±R/±RW/RAM

Memory Card Reader

INTERNAL 52 IN 1 CARD READER (XD, MS, CF, SD, etc) + 1 x USB 2.0 PORT
Not really necessary unless you often want to transfer files from a mobile device or camera often.
Power Supply

CORSAIR 350W VS SERIES™ VS-350 POWER SUPPLY
350W is just scraping by sufficient, and this psu isn't very quiet.
Processor Cooling
