Resource Pack know it alls: Please help!

Hey guys,

So I just finished combining 2 texture packs, Lobster Gaming PVP's texture and Private Fearless' texture pack. I also added my own little feature and that is the bow lights up green for the first stage of pulling back, orange for the second stage and red for the third stage. I came across something that I have no clue how to fix. Here's the screenshots:

As you can see there's a white box surrounding the bow like in the actual file. I have no clue how to fix this and I'm hoping one of you do... thanks!

What file type did you save those bow textures as?
Also, they have to be on a transparent background. It's like you filled it in with white.

I just coloured in the arrow for each stage .

I never changed the background, the file I edited was a pre-existing file which I edited, but I'll make it transparent.

Edit: It's saved as a .png.

Yep, it'll need to be transparent.. just make sure, then get back to us lol

I had this problem when customising my own texture pack. One main important thing is to use a program that allows transparency. Therefore you cannot use paint, you'll need to use other programs such as Photoshop, Gimp or Paint.net which supports transparency. This allows you to not have have the white box around the customised entity.

I suggest paint.net as it free and a simple version of Photoshop.

yeah, like the other guys said its just that you need to change it to a transparent background, then all will be cool.

Okay, so Paint.Net helped with the second and third stage but for the 1st instead of a white box and the bow it's just a purple and black box with no bow. Should I just redo the bows or is there another way to fix it?
