Tips for playing solo?

I have never won a game of MCSG starting out solo.

There's always either a triple team, an OP double team, a hacker, a hacker team, I get spawnkilled by a forcefielder, I get spawnkilled by a fist glitcher, or I get betrayed.

Does anyone have any tips for playing solo? I just seem to have horrible luck when I play by myself.

Here are some tips: Get lots of chests before you fight, and make sure you scout out the most stacked people in the game so you can prepare. Try getting the advantage any way you can, block-hitting, high advantage, or camping, whatever works better. Also, try to play defensive unless you can sneak up on the guy. These are just SOME of my tips, I might be adding more.

I always get to DM or close to DM. I usually have half/full iron, iron/diamond sword. People tend to target me for some reason..

FnS is the main reason why I have any wins at all.

I'm a solo player myself but I do truce with people who know me.

Playing defensive:

• Only go in for the kill if you know you can kill them with the armour they have, etc.
• Use your secondary weapons before trying to kill them with just your sword.
• Flint and steel one and then go for the one who isn't on fire, it'll make the other person scared to attack and he's slow.
• Hit and run. Walk slow and attack then run, keep doing this till they start running.

Fighting teams:

• Aim for the guy with bad armour and run away if you're low, if you're not low then try and kill the other one.
• Use your secondary weapons before attacking them with your sword.
• Use traps that you find... they're there to help with teams also.
• The hit and run thing is a smart choice when fighting teams, it helps me a lot.

Fighting hackers:

• Say that you're recording, they normally get too scared to show that they're hacking so they'll stop.
• If it's a regen hacker then keep using flint and steel and using your sword, when I use flint and steel they always die really quickly for some reason.
• Use your bow if you have arrows.
• Actually record them and then report them after the game or get a moderator in the hub to join the server and record the hacker for you.

1v1 situations:

• Play it smart, don't make stupid moves.
• Don't go in with your sword first! See what your other guy is doing before you do it.
• Fire is your best friend.
• Fishing rod them before hitting so it backs them up.

I actually suck at man-to-man PvP. If it werent for FnS and bows, I would have like 2 wins.
Thats definitely the way to go! Also, try to master those handy-dandy blockhitting and fishing rod techniques. They will really help you get out of a pinch!

They regen by speeding up their game. It makes them regenerate faster, but take damage faster from things such as fire, drowning, lava, etc

Theres no tips, just don't play solo. Every game I play theres always a hacker.

Now, if theres a team of 3+ heres a tactic for the map; Icarus:

If you see a team, in corn, astonish the team with fire, try doing some combat. Then, run trough the stairs until the highest floor, circle around and then get back to the stairs. If you're full health, run as fast through the stairs. The team will probably divide in the stairs depending on how fast they get down. If thats the case, fight the closest to you, if you successfully kill him, when the other 2 guys come down, set them on fire, or try to. you will probably kill them both. If not, repeat the process.

I have done this a few times and all worked.
If you can, try using that tactic on any similar map or any situation. Running is an amazing tactic, annoying, but amazing.

Some tips:

Because I suck with the sword, I try using my other weapons as my primary ones. Use your bow as much as you can and pop damn Flints and steels like a boss. Heres a video of how my mentor, teach me:

I have killed many people even armor-less thanks to flints and steels and bow.

Thats all my tips I can give you for solo, and tips that will probably help you on every PVP situation.
Don't forget, master the Fishing Pole technique.

For example, it's not the same to fight a hacker with regen hacks compared to a hacker with aimbot. Also, theres impossible hackers, with aimbot, regen hacks, and so on...

For regen hackers, usually use Flints 'n steels
For aimbot hackers, don't go straight in them, use more your secondary weapons, specially the bow.

Also, block your sword when someone shoots you with an arrow so it deals have the damage.

Focus on learning how to take out teams. Also get good at parkour/jumping so you can get out of tricky situations. Think fast. The rest of the encounters in game will be 1v1 fights. you can win these fights easily by using your flint and steel and sword to your advantage. Also one more thing, get a REALLY good chest route. The secret to winning loads is learning how to take out teams easily and learning how to get out of tricky situations. I would write a whole ton of tactics/tips/tricks but the people above have done a pretty good job and you should also check out the strategies section . Remember, learn how to take out teams and how to get out of tricky situations.
