They could be running away... not attacking you. *facepalm*While their attack you with a sword? I don't think so.
Our Minecraft servers are offline but we will keep this forum online for any community communication. Site permissions for posting could change at a later date but will remain online.

Yeah....And the end of that phrase in your signature is If not thank the Government lolI should keep this in mind.
Great Tips!A hacker is someone who uses illegitimate mods to give themselves an advantage over other players. Here, I will post the three most commonly used hacks, and the most dangerous to yourself.
1. Force Field or Kill Aura
This hits for the player making it so he/she does not of to click to hit. Most hacked clients allow you to set the range and frequency of the hits. In MCSG, you can often very easily spot a hacker using this hack.
2. Chest Finder or Chest ESP
This hack puts a highlight of color over any chests near the player. This is very bad in MCSG because players with this can find good items.
3. Godmode
This makes a player "lag out" so you cannot hit them. This is very BAD because they can hit you. Sadly, it is very hard to prove that they are using this hack because it looks like the player is actually lagging out.
How to deal with a Hacker.
Often it is best to confront them. Most hackers are little squeakers and will turn the hacks off so as not to be banned.
Older hackers, however, are hard to confront. They often don't care, don't know what the rules are, and just want to screw some people over.
The best thing to do with a hacker is to get a recording of him fighting SOMEONE ELSE! This is the most effective way because the staff viewing the recording will be able to see his hacks more effectively.
How to catch a hacker.
First, determine he is hacking.(See him fly,go straight to 10 or more chests, kill three players at the same time, etc)
Then record or screenshot his vile hacks.
Watch or view your evidence several times to be completely sure he is hacking.
Once you have decided that he must be hacking, post a ban request with the evidence.
In my humble opinion, it is best to make a public post of the evidence so you can see if other people think he is hacking.
Then wait and hopefully hear that he is banned. If not, then you might get another set of evidence of his hacking.
If he is banned, Laugh at his expense. Go to a party. Buy a new game. Scrawl something on paper. Or even better, go play MCSG for hours on end and/or catch another hacker!
Note that when you catch a hacker, you save the pain for someone else. If hackers remain unbanned, they get better scores then the rest of us. Eliminate them, and you have a better chance at winning and higher ranks!
That's it? Not even "Please don't double post"?!?!?!Great Tips!
oh my god im so sorry mooclanThat's it? Not even "Please don't double post"?!?!?!
tsk tsk tsk moo heff lost fayth in u
But for the record, rockboy12, please do not double post, triple post, quadruple post, etc. It is against the forum rules, except in special cases, which this was probably not. Instead, please edit your last post, and remember to quote multiple posts at once if you have to, simply by clicking the "Reply" button for each post. You can type what you need to say between [ /quote ] and [ quote ]. (I put spaces between the []'s and the words so that it doesn't actually quote anything by accident.)
Multi-posting just fills up the pages unecessarily and other people don't like scrolling through several posts of 1-line replies by the same person, and it also illegitimately increases your "Post count" (Some people aim to get a high post count, for various reasons)
I get the feeling I already told you this before .-. relatively recently, too.
But back on topic:
You're also forgetting one of the most common hacks on MCG, or MCGamer... sprint hacks. Until recently, it was mostly BSM that was used, unless the person had a hack client. Now that BSM is effectively disabled, however, it's just regular sprint hacks that are used. Generally only used as a way to sprint automatically, but sometimes they also increase your speed beyond that of sprinting. If it's the first method, it's really tough to spot unless they have sprint particles while standing still - However, a video of someone standing still with particles is not always enough evidence, as you or them may be lagging. It's better to get a video of them standing still sometimes with particles, and they are actively moving around, perhaps waiting at corn but still patrolling or something.
Chest Finder is virtually impossible to detect unless the person using it reports themselves, either on purpose or by accident, with a video or a screenshot that they didn't realized they had it on (It has happened in the past, much to the amusement of the community.)
The title thread is How to spot a hacker, but the only one you've listed so far that can be spotted is killaura/ff. What you're calling "Godmode" is not "Godmode", but rather a legitimate Hack. It targets the individual person, rather than affecting the hacker's performance in-game. Sometimes it's called a DDoS, or maybe a "Lag Hack". I'm not an expert on stuff like that, but it's not called "Godmode", as "Godmode" is a term for something else in-game, where you're in survival/adventure mode, but cannot be hurt through vanilla methods. Again, "Godmode" cannot be spotted, as you've said, because it looks like the other person is simply having connectivity issues - which they are, except those issues were caused by an opponent.
Also, regeneration hacks. There may be some debate on whether regeneration hacks are real or not, but I've heard enough people call out "That guy has regen hacks" or something on enough people. Basically, it's where the person does not DIE unless you either hit them insanely fast with criticals, a strong weapon, etc., as they just keep regenerating health extremely fast. Like a "God-Apple" or "Enchanted Apple". (Level 2 golden apple, with the super high regen) There is also some speculation that "Regen hacks" are really just where the person takes virtually no damage unless hit with a critical hit or something. (Or they're just tossed into lava or off a super high cliff)
If you or someone else is able to record and report them, do not confront them. This will tell them "Someone sees I have hacks, better turn them off for this round. They'll continue to hack next round, and maybe even the same round if they're smart and think they know how to get away with it (But they'll hack differently, such as using it less and stuff)
If you are not able to report them, and can't get someone who can (Ex: moderator, friend who can record), then it might be OK to confront them. It's still not a good idea, as it only gets them to stop for a little while. Some people might not even turn them off (Someone who's either really cocky or really dumb, or something of both.)
Older people are more likely to know the rules, they just don't give a crap.
If someone goes straight to a series of chests, they probably just know what they're doing. I have routes with over 20 chests (Extended versions that I don't normally use unless I'm taking my time) and so do a lot of other people, and even more have routes with at least 10, but most are generally tier 1's. But even if they go straight to tier 2's, that's not a sign of a hack, as they can't use a hack to tell which tier it is.
Yes, record them. Screenshots are less evidence and are not always enough to get them punished, as it can be edited, affected by lag, or any number of variables. (Ex: A hits B, but B is still moving fast, so they keep going behind A, but the screenshot shows B behind A, and B is still red (Which would make the person looking at the screenshot to assume A was hacking, when it was really nothing at all looking like hacks.)
However if it's someone flying mid-air, several blocks in the air with items (Such as armor, weapons, food, etc.) nowhere near ANYTHING tall, like a tower, then it might be enough evidence, as obviously there's no way to get there without flying.
If they're waterwalking, then it's best to get multiple screenshots, as they might have just been at the top of their "Bob" (when they "bob" up and down, like that fishing rod thingy.)
It is against the rules to post the video as public (although as far as I can tell, no one's been punished for it yet lol), one reason being that if the person finds out you're the guy that got him recorded, he's gonna target you foreeeeever. Etc.
Aside from all that ^ mean stuff, nice thread. Remember, what I wrote there ^ is just what I think, and is not always necessarily 100% accurate or true (although I don't have a reason to lie lol, it's just that I may be mis-informed or remember something wrong.)
Its ok ily still <3oh my god im so sorry mooclan
