Calling all Whovians! Your opinion on the 50th Anniversary?

I watched it last night, and.... I was not impressed. I was expecting more. With all the hype for it, all the advertising leading up to it, and my own personal expectations, I was really let down when I watched it.

Spoilers ahead. I'm quoting this post so the spoilers will be hidden. I am editing the content of the actual post.

First of all, I'm kind of upset. One of the adverts I saw was a picture with the torsos of all the doctors around a square holding the BBC logo and "The Day of the Doctor." The only time any of the other doctors came into play were old clips from old shows while they were putting the planet in stasis. I wanted to see all the doctors in one place. It would have been so interesting, so strange, so... Doctorish. But all we got to see was the 10th, the 11th, and the, uh, other one. Also, I was kinda disappointed by the fact that Billie Piper had such a small role. She was the moment, but she didn't do anything. She got to act and have a, more or less, important role, but it wasn't Rose, which the advertisements made me think would be there. And frankly, it was just a boring story. I'll probably add more later.

E. Huh, it didn't work like I thought it would.

I agree. The whole thing seemed to work out way to nicely for me. The 'bad guys' (I mean those weird shape-shifting ones) seemed to just be forgotten really quickly.
I would post more and I will, I just don't have time atm.

All I can say is, waiting for the Christmas special, but the 50th anniversary was pretty epic as well. I always feel bad for poor Dave Tennant's incarnation. <\3
