Hello fellow MCSG players! I'm SkillzASC here to talk about different play styles and which one you should go for! Personally I'm a defensive player if I'm tryharding but offensive for the fun of it.
Offensive Play Style
If you like quick kills and want to take risks this is the play style for you. Now to play offensive you basically just keep the chase on and the attack on. So for example you're wrecking this guy and he starts running away you shoot him with a bow or keep the chase on. Basically you have to keep the damage going over and over again until obviously the player is dead. Now there is a huge con to this play style which is teams. Now I will tell you a way to handle teams while playing offensive is bow spamming and flint and steeling. So you just bow spam them until they get close then you fns them, this does seem defensive but you're keeping the damage on which is playing offensive.
Defensive Play Style
Now if you want play defensive you have to know how to use the fishing rod but if you don't know that's fine but it will be a bit harder. Okay, so if you know how to use the fishing rod you basically have to run and run, I know it sounds boring but it's worth it. The key of playing defensive is knowing the map and knowing some spots that you can use that fishing rod to either knock them into a trap or knock them off something. For example if you're playing on the map SG 4 against a very stacked person you should go to gravel trap and trick them by either lighting it on fire or pushing them into it by fishing rodding or combos. If you're against a team you should go on fire station and push them off and they will either fall to their death or get them extremely low so you can deliver the final blow with a bow shot or killing them with your sword. Another way is to stun them with your bow by shooting a quick arrow and then combo them. The key of playing defensive is knowing how to juke, run for a long period of time, fishing rodding, bow spamming, and combos.
Let me know which one you prefer after you read my tactics of playing both styles.
