Up.date.Drivers.
That always helps. Also. If you install magic launcher you can allocate a certain amount of ram into your Game. :D

You should probably consult with someone other than members of mcsg, though there are a few of us who have a fair bit of knowledge, there are experts out there.

Well as has already been said check your task manager. You will quickly see if anything is interfering with your cpu. Also check you GPU and see if anything is causing that to use high amounts of it as you could have malware eating into your gpu cycles

You have to dedicate RAM to minecraft, that's how dumb it is, and ehh, that's pretty much it and you might have internet lag? That's possible as well.

From my experiences, Minecraft doesn't like AMD Processors. Nor does it like Radeon video cards :(

Incorrect, I have 494mb of RAM dedicated to minecraft and adding any more yields no negligible performance difference unless pushing minecraft to it's limits. As is the same with 2 of my friend's computers. Contrary to your belief, internet lag does nothing to your fps.

He should still be playing on max settings with 100+ fps, TorchScar/Bloodlights/Azleurr's processor is similar (but better) to his and he can play with shaders at 100 fps, according to an old post. OP's graphics card is great.

BF4 is supposed to run great with AMD processors as it uses the many cores they have (in your case, six). While this isn't the case for minecraft, you should certainly not be receiving so few fps, as others have said, view the performance when playing bf4 or another demanding game and look out for the performance per core, then compare it to mc, bearing in mind mc is said to use 4 cores or less. You should see if any components are not in use which will help you put your finger on the problem.

A personal question, what we're the exact specs of your older pc?
