Are the developers trying to make an anti hacking plugin?

Should the developers try harder to make an anti-hacking plugin?

Hacking on MCSG has boomed the past few months because if its easiness to get a hacked or modded client so I was wondering if there is a plugin being developed to get rid of hackers (hopefully) forever

I hope so. The hackers on MCSG are just getting more pathetic each day, they call you out for hacks when obviously they're using a hacked client (gg doe), if they did make a plugin or something like the thing they did for BSM then I would play MCSG more and more. :)

The problem is, you can't just make an anti-hacking plugin. It's not like this new BSM sensing plugin, because hacked clients don't send little packets of information that tell the server that the person is using it. We could always use other plugins like No Cheat Plus, but then it may catch you for suspicious activity. This would happen to a lot of people, and it would only hurt the game. Now, if hacked clients were to start sending little tidbits of info, we'd all have a great time and a huge party. For now, though, all you can do is record hackers and report them.

In all seriousness, Like lively said, its next to impossible to detect without ruining the game for others.

I thought MCSG already had an anti-cheat plugin. I have seen water walkers be rubber-banded back to the edge of the water when they try and run across it.

Also, my fly-hacks don't work (Jokes, I have no idea if fly-hacks work but seeing as I haven't seen any, I can presume they are prevented.)

Anyway, at the end of the day, it's the hackers who are bad at the game and it them who is gonna become bored of playing minecraft since they can't play properly. Hopefully this is just a passing trend.

Maybe someone can buy a hacked client site, then find what goes into the mods and see if there are any loopholes

First of all, there will always be cheaters in every game you'll ever play. All the moderators would be made irrelevant if we lived in a perfect world. Statistics suggest that there will never be a magical plugin to fix all hacks, just as there is no magical solution to real world crime.

Secondly, to my line of thinking, if you did that then you would be responsible for everyone who downloads your resulting product thereafter. Also, buying up website domains for hacked clients is way too expensive a solution when you could just save up, buy lifetime donor, and hopefully as you innocently join a full game, pray the person you just kicked was a hacker not a really hot 19-20 year old female you could have teamed with and had a merry time. :)

Finally someone who understands, but I'm 99.69% sure that MCGamer uses a custom configured version of NoCheatPlus
