Hey Guys NativeTalent here and I just wanted to share some of my PvP tips to my struggling MCSGers out there or my fellow PvPers looking for a few tips. So I guess I'll just break down the basics.

Hotbar: Sword, Bow, Rod, Gapple, Food, Food, Food, Food, FnS (Replace Food with FnS when you are able too)

Reason: Your weapon is the most important and should be in the first slot. Your bow is the most useful secondary weapon and needs to be in the second slot so it's easy to switch too from your primary weapon. Your third slot should be your fishing rod (If you're good with that tactic) I keep it there because I run around with it and it's really easy to switch back to it if need be. Gapple can be a key factor in a battle and can be the difference between a close fight and a death. This needs to be kept close. The food area is obvious. The FnS is kept towards the end because most people think before they use FnS. So That gives them that split second to switch to it. I keep it towards then end because that's where I feel most comfortable using it.

Primary Weapon Guide: Again another obvious thing but the order of power for weapons is wood axe, stone axe/wood sword, iron axe/ stone sword, Diamond axe/ iron sword, and Diamond sword. If you haven't noticed already axes are equivalent to the sword of the class below it (Ex. Iron= Stone, Diamond= Iron). When engaging in battle with only a weapon knowing the weapon of your opponent can be a key thing. My tip is to either hide your weapon or disguise it. Also when in sword fights your best option in to strafe. The best way to strafe is to sprint at your opponent and then hold down "A" or "D" (Left and Right) and either holding your jump key or periodically pressing it to get those needed critical hits.

Secondary Weapon Guide: Bows and Fns. These are very good in battle. Having one of these or both can change a battle in an instant. There are two parts to this Defensive Bowing and Offensive Bowing. Then there is Defensive FnS and Offensive FnS. I personally prefer Defensive Bowing and Offensive FnS. This means when the battle is about to start I immediately pull out FnS to get them on fire so that I can get an Advantage. Defensive bowing means you try to stay out of bow battles right in the beginning. You only bow as they are running away or as you're running away and they are coming towards you. Both these skills rely on prediction. You always need to be thinking about your opponents next move. When bowing a noob they will always try to run away in one direction so it is easy to predict where to put the net arrow (A little in front of them if they are running sideways) Against advance PvPers they know how to dodge arrows and will change directions. The easiest way is to just try and find a rhythm. If you notice they go right for 2 moves then left and they repeat try and put the arrow into those places. Same with FnS. If they are running at you in a straight line (Noob) easily place the fire on the block in front of you (2 blocks away to avoid setting yourself on fire) If they are coming at you like a pro strafing around then here is my advanced FnS guide ;) You can always hit your opponent with something (Bow, Rod, Or item) doing this creates a knockback and there first move is usually to walk forward so place an FnS there. The next tip is called manipulating movement. This is more of a defensive tactic and can be used to get away but it can also be an offensive tactic as well. What you need to do is place an FnS a little off to one side on purpose. They will then go in the other direction and then you can place an FnS there as they try to dodge your other FnS. My last tip is called Unexpected fire. It was created by NoahSailer and what you basically do is try and get your enemy about 3-5 block behind you. Get them to chase you. Then suddenly stop place FnS and move backwards. This will get someone 10/10 times unless they were really far behind you.

Fishing Rod: Im not the best at fishing rods. I mainly use the rod in a different way from others. Most people use it to stun the opponent and get combos. I am very bad at that :p I use the rod to manipulate your opponents movement when they run. If your enemy runs it is very easy to cast your rod and hit them. Preferable times to use it is when they are about to parkour over a block then hit them just before and it will throw off their sprint and give you an extra hit or two. The next tip is to hit them into walls or anything near them as they are running. This will also give you an extra hit or two. *Pro Tip* Whenver you cast your rod DO NOT pull it back after it hits an object! This will make it lose durability. Simply take your rod and cast it then quickly switch to another slot and switch back to your rod. This makes it so you won't lose durability.

Sorry for not going to in depth I don't want to give out ALL of my secrets ;) Anywy I really hope you enjoyed and learned something from this.

I might make a tutorial video covering some of the things in this guide. If I get enough support on my youtube then I will definitely make it.

TBH; I wouldn't call this your personal PvP tips, many people use every single one of these methods in common situations exactly the same way as you explained. I'd call this common knowledge of weapons.
