Thoughts on the 1.7 Sprint Toggle

1.7 sprint is more OP than BSM

The new sprint toggle makes it easier to chase and run away. Bsm is quite different.. You dont take knockback and can sprint in all directions. Its doesnt change the game that much. But a 1.6.4 user would be at a clear disadvantage to a 1.7.2 user.

I was a long time user of BSM, trust me. On multiplayer you CAN'T sprint side to side and you do take knockback. But I do agree a 1.6 user is at a complete disadvantage compared to 1.7 users.

In my opinion the 1.7 sprint is even better/smoother than BSM. I had BSM while i played on hive and i still got wobble sprints pretty often, that never happens with the 1.7 sprint. Another thing that makes 1.7 sprint better is that you can start it mid-air. I can confirm that the sprint sideways and backwards option doesnt work on multiplayer, that would be autosprint or some other nasty sprint hack.

edit: You can also use the 1.7 sprint while chasing someone in water, it makes you sliiiiightly faster. It changes water combat a lot, if you use the 1.7 sprint while hitting someone in a water fight they get knocked back really far (like when you hit someone with sprint on land)

Macs have an advantage over PC's in this new update, because they can configure their settings so they only have to hold down one button to sprint instead of 2.

Right now it has an advantage, but when 1.7 is released onto MCSG Servers it won't in the slightest.

I have a Mac.. How da fuq did I not know that..?
