Sup Everyone? :)

My name is GavwavMCSG. Some of you may know me on the forums as that Scottish guy who is a DBZ fanboy, the best Scot on the forums, an elite MCSG noob, and used to make avatars. ;)

Lately in the art section, I have seen some unsuccessful attempts from people trying to get their own avatar. So I decided to make this guide on how to get one in the best and easiest possible way. :D

1: Make your own avatar instead.

Think you're good at drawing or photoshopping? Why not save yourself the hassle of having to find someone to make you an avatar and create your own instead? :D

2: Find a good avatar request thread.

Not good at drawing, or wanting to have someone else draw for you for a change? Find a good avatar request thread where the art work is up to your standards, the que isn't like 50 requests long, and where the artist is more active. Whenever you find a request thread which you like, send out a request as quickly as possible, since A: the requests might be limited time. B: a lot of others may send in requests before you. Even if the que is big, don't wait for it too get smaller before you send in a request. That would make for an even longer wait since more people will be sending in requests before you. Also, if you have to wait long, then good things to those who wait. ;)

3: Make a thread request.

Unsuccessful in finding a good avatar request thread? Make a thread asking if anyone is willing to make you an avatar. However, don't just say in the thread, "Can someone make me an avatar please?" and finish it off right there. Otherwise no one will be willing to make you an avatar. You need to describe what you want your avatar to look like. Also it is good to give something in return. You could pay the artist some money for his art work and such. Also, be sure to thank the artist.

4: Be respectful and show appreciation to the artist.

Once you receive your avatar, show appreciation to the artist, even if the art work isn't quite what you expected. If your avatar isn't up to your standards, don't be disrespectful and insult the artist's artwork. Just give constructive criticism and appreciation to the artist. The last thing an artist needs is to draw something for nothing. ;)

Note: as well as avatars, the same goes for signatures, Youtube banners and thumbnails, intros, skins, etc.

Well, that's about it. I hope this helped. :) If you think there is anything I should add, feel free to let me know, and if everyone else and I agree with what you think I should add, I'll be sure to put it in this guide. ;) Thanks for taking your time to read this. :)

Note: This is my first ever guide on the forums. Sorry if it dosen't look that great. Thanks to @Lululioness's guide to making a guide. That really helped me out. :D
