YouTube is probably the most visited site on the internet behind Google. As much as I support this and I dislike the changes they've made, there's no way, maybe 100 people at the most, can convince YouTube to change this. Google bought YouTube, therefore they have the right to link there accounts with YouTube's accounts. There is a way you can disable it, so it shouldn't be this big of a deal. Some people probably like the update, some people don't, meaning they aren't going to favor the side with the majority of followers, as that is biased.

If you want to learn how to disable or delete your Google+ account, just search it up on YouTube or something, there will be thousands of valid responses. Thank you.

You can't comment unless your account is connected to G+
And Google does have the right to make us connect our accounts to G+, but that still doesn't make it right. It's just wrong, it's a dirty business maneuver to make more people visit G+ which was clearly not the success they expected it to be.

I never knew you needed to have Google+ linked to comment, so thanks for that. Also, I did state that Google has the right to make our accounts link.

Heh, what do you know, more people whining about the new YouTube layout.

Let's see how long the complaints take to die down, I'll take bets.

But seriously, just be patient and calm down a little. Even though Google's retarded and had no idea about what they were doing with this update, I'm pretty sure they'll revert the changes or at the least tweak them to something slightly more satisfying for common YouTube users.

You obviously don't know YouTube them. They can't listen to criticism. They change things without consent, and don't listen to any of the response it gets.

"You obviously don't know YouTube then."

Taken directly from Wikipedia: "YouTube is a video-sharing website, created by three former PayPal employees in February 2005 and owned by Google since late 2006, on which users can upload, view and share videos"

There, I now educated myself on YouTube. I'm gonna go learn about other stuff on the internet, like, what the Hell is Minecraft, and maybe learn about the wonderful realms of cats, memes, etc.

Christ, of course I know that Google doesn't listen to their community. But, by the way you're putting it in context, as the worst and most ridiculous update they've released, and you feel so STRONGLY about the changes you have to write an entire blog post about it, apparently YouTube HAS to fix this otherwise they're just an evil corporation trying to feed people like sheep into getting Google+ accounts. And if you feel that YouTube won't go back and FIX these issues, then technically you had no purpose in writing that blog article since nobody's minds at Google or YouTube would remotely change.

Yes, I understand YouTube's been going too far with the updates, and they're more than likely NOT going to revert their changes because they don't have to. YouTube is the biggest video-sharing website on Earth, and potentially the biggest website of all time, it would take a long-shot for them to die anytime in the future. I'm only stating that if they were smart, and wanted viewers to be happy with YouTube, they would and hopefully will revert the changes/fixes done to the website.

People acting like the world's gonna explode cause YouTube made a few changes is nearly comical. I mean, this is really the worst we have to worry about?

No of course it isn't the worst I have to worry about. I personally just took it the wrong way, I rarely get this annoyed at something YouTube does. I guess it's because I just thought it was such a scummy move. It's not the fact it will inconvenience me (which it won't really do all that much) but the fact that a company is so ignorant and so arrogant that it goes against all software development and company running. I really could care less that I have to get a G+ account, but it's the fact that Google never polled anyone about the change, they never did extensive testing to make sure the change worked, they simply implemented it because "Maybe more people will use Google+."
For the record, You're awesome MJ, I came off as pretty arrogant in my post which I apologize for. I just think this is one of the worst thing Google has done in a long time, not just because it's an irritating change, just because it's one that goes against basic business morals.
